Glee star Naya Rivera crossed paths with 2CELLOS (Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser) when they recorded “Smooth Criminal” for the show’s Michael Jackson tribute episode that aired in January.
Now Rivera, who’s been recording a solo album with producer Peter Thomas (Betty Who, Neon Hitch), has hooked up with the Croatian cello duo for a second time, covering Muse’s 2006 single, “Supermassive Black Hole.” The reunion isn’t tied to Glee, with Rivera just one of several guests appearing on 2CELLO’s new album, In2ition, out January 15. Elton John, with whom Sulic and Hauser have toured and performed, and Sky Ferreira are also featured.
The sci-fi themed music video for “Supermassive Black Hole” features exactly three humans who are easy on the eyes, even if some of the shots of Rivera are a bit ridiculous.
