After Vanbot wowed me (and many others) in recent days with “Make Me, Break Me” from her forthcoming debut album, she followed up that first free single with a another, “Lost Without You,” last Friday.

While I quietly snuck “Lost Without You” into Saturday’s roundup of spinworthy free MP3s, Vanbot’s second single merits a separate mention. I had this pulsating sad-disco track on repeat all weekend, wrapped up in lyrics like, “I’ll close my eyes / Then maybe wounds will heal,” and the descending drums during the bridge.

Today there’s often a rush to heap unearned praise on new talent, but with Vanbot serving up a pair of top-notch pop tunes, I believe music fans are right to expect very good things from this Swede. Don’t miss discovering Vanbot now.
