Swedish duo Icona Pop pay a visit to the Queen to concoct a mashup of their new song “Nights Like This” with Madonna’s 1987 #4 hit, “La Isla Bonita.”
If that combination of past and present pop sounds about perfect, the resulting “Nights Like Bonita” manages to exceed expectations. Muy bonita, Aino Jawo and Caroline Hjelt:

Truthfully, “La Isla Bonita” was the first Madonna single this massive fan didn’t care for, though I’ve since come around. The 25-year-old tune is definitely having a moment, as an unreleased Britney Spears demo, “Love 2 Love U,” surfaced today that makes judicious use of the True Blue track.
