A week after introducing her music to U.S. television audiences by performing “Genesis” on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, Grimes has premiered the music video for the song, taken from the Canadian singer-songwriter’s album, Visions.

I’m at a loss to accurately describe what’s going on in the clip, so I’ll leave it to you to suss out just what Ms. Claire Boucher is attempting to achieve here, as she played on both sides of the camera for the bonkers “Genesis.”

It would appear that Banana, the python that slithered along with Britney Spears during her 2001 VMA performance of “I’m A Slave 4 U” and whose current whereabouts were of some concern to The X Factor judge this week, is indeed alive and well, co-starring with Grimes right here.
