[STRANGERS] have premiered a music video for their ingeniously titled new single, “Something New,” a collaboration with producer Dimitri Tikovoi (Placebo, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Little Boots, Charli XCX)
The London trio doesn’t appear in the clip, directed by Ian West. In [STRANGERS]’ stead is dancer/choreographer Jess Roberts, who brings the song to life via a contemporary dance routine.
As an avowed fan of So You Think You Can Dance (which returns for Season 10 on May 14), I find Roberts’ routine — lensed in black and white with touches of technicolor — quite entrancing.
Pre-order [STRANGERS] – “Something New,” released with B-side “Never Enough” on May 13, via iTunes.
