Florence + The Machine has premiered the music video for new single, “Shake It Out,” a gloriously uplifiting track from sophomore album Ceremonials, out November 1. (Listen to :30 previews of each track via Amazon.)
Growing up, I remember being told that red (and its various variations of shades) was the absolute worst color for fair-skinned ginger-headed folks like myself to wear. I later discovered the opposite to be true, as Florence Welch demonstrates quite vividly in the music video below, dressed in a fabulously vibrant red frock. Her other costume choices in the clip are none too shabby either, as she twirls, dances, and shakes about as a guest at a masquerade ball.
Surely I’m not the only one who hears Neil Diamond’s “America” at the very tail end of “Shake It Out,” right?
Featuring remixes by The Weeknd and Benny Benassi, “Shake It Out” has been released as a single in the UK. Come tomorrow (or later tonight), we’ll see whether Florence’s U.S. fans got the love too.
