My Tiger My Timing, one of my favorite new bands of 2011, have their sights set on next year and the release of their debut album. But to thank fans for being so fantastically supportive thus far, and in keeping with the spirit of the season, they’ve posted a new song as a free download.

“See You On New Year’s Day,” is an original composition (incorporating a bit of “O Come All Ye Faithful”) that My Tiger My Timing describes as a “fun, festive Christmas tune.” However, if you follow what frontwoman Anna Vincent is singing about, you’ll discover the song’s not a total cheerfest. Still, as long as your level of holiday joy measures somewhere between Auntie Mame and Ebenezer Scrooge, you won’t be able to resist My Tiger My Timing’s musical Christmas gift. Hear here:
