Bingo Players‘ “Cry (Just A Little),” released last year, samples one of my all-time favorite songs, Brenda Russell’s “Piano In The Dark.”

Previously remixed only by Olav Basoski, Bingo Players debuted a set of new re-rubs of “Cry (Just A Little)” this week, courtesy of Milan collective Reset! and Toronto’s YUG.

Departing from Bingo Players’ and Basoski’s versions, the chorus from Russell’s hit is no longer sampled but resung in regular voice, a shift that complements these faster, raved-up mixes rather well. Finally, a flip-flop we can believe in!
