Somehow I totally missed MNDR‘s “#1 In Heaven” when she released the single in January.

But Amanda Warner’s label packaged up two new remixes this week, so I’m assuming mine wasn’t the only radar that failed to register “#1 In Heaven” the first time around.

Unfortunately, DJ Skeet Skeet and Infuze have been let loose to do unthinkable things to MNDR’s remarkable electropop. Both mixes do start off promising, but things quickly turn totally wackadoodle, segueing into infantile rave and abrasive dubstep, respectively.

Best to just stick to “#1 In Heaven” as it is (was?) — a supremely danceable ditty whose chorus just happens to be a direct quote from kidnapped heiress Patty Hearst. Time to set MNDR free — put your hands above your head right now!
