Let It Go, It’s New Dragonette

March 30, 2012 4 Comments

New music from Dragonette needs little introduction. Exuberant electropop? Check!

But the Canadian trio, led by the fabulous Martina Sorbara, has helpfully served up the following suggestions for enjoying their new single, “Let It Go,” the first taste of Dragonette’s forthcoming third album, due this summer:

“Please feel free to do any or all of the following while listening to our new song:
Dance in front of the mirror
Lip synch with a hairbrush-microphone
Sing along in the car at high and obnoxious volumes
Invent new and creative dance moves
Pet a white bunny rabbit
Try a new hairstyle
Kiss a stranger at a dark and dirty night club”

How about jumping for joy on a pogo stick, upon a trampoline, or in middle of a city street? The bright, summer vibe “Let It Go” is completely irresistible.

As Sorbara sings in the chorus, “We don’t need a cure for the weight of the world, ’cause it’s floating around in the universe. Just swinging like it’s tied by a string that you hold. Let it go!”

Purchase Dragonette – “Let It Go” via iTunes, Amazon MP3. Remixes by Laidback Luke, The Knocks, and Faustix & Imanos available exclusively via Beatport (available elsewhere April 16).
