We last heard from Wolfette in January, when the London-based electropop artist served up a spectacularly worthy cover of Giorgio Moroder & Philip Oakey’s “Together In Electric Dreams.”
Now Wolfette — aka Dominique Woolf, a distant relative of Virginia Woolf, we’re reminded — is back with a tune of her own. “Risk For You” finds her re-teaming with Icelandic producer Gisli Kristjansson, who was behind the board for her trio of 2011 singles, “Waiting For The Explosion,” “Different Story,” and “Trophy Girl.”
Following Wolfette’s take on “Together In Electric Dreams,” her love for Moroder-like sequencers is writ large on “Risk For You.” Doubling down on her assertive electropop sound, Wolfette comes up a winner.
Wolfette – “Risk For You” is released on 5/28.
