Queen Of Hearts’ music video for “Neon” isn’t exactly the “whoa” she promised a month ago.
Directed by Between Man & Beast, “Neon” is quite the arty clip. Queen Of Hearts sits between two piles of bricks, whilst two men do a contemporary dance routine and a milk bath awaits. Did I mention the dress form and the old-timey sewing machine?
Without an MFA on my CV, the meaning of it all is well over my head. But maybe not grasping the symbolism is the very reaction Queen Of Hearts had upon reviewing the treatment. Still love the track, but whoa, indeed.
Queen Of Hearts’ “Neon” single is out 5/14.
Listen to and download the double A-side “Tears In The Rain” below (just as gorgeous as the title suggests), along with remixes of “Neon” by Mark Reeder, Lightwaves, and Ghost Beach. Nary a quibble with any of that. (Click the various tracks to access the download button.)
