Steed Lord Thinks Sonya Tayeh Can Dance

The collaboration between choreographer Sonya Tayeh and Steed Lord began last year, when she teamed with the Los Angeles-based trio for their video for “123 If You Want Me.”

“I was in awe of how completely inventive they are as people. They’re three really inventive, innovative humans,” Tayeh told Just Dance. They really love what they do, and believe in what they do. It’s true artistry to me.”

The same can be said of Tayeh’s choreography, prominently featured on FOX’s So You Think You Can Dance. She scored a routine to Steed Lord’s “Vanguardian” last year, and as Tayeh’s association with the show continues, she’s already seen fit to use Steed Lord’s music in a pair of striking performances from the still-young season 9.

The first, from three weeks ago, featured a new remix of “Precognition,” which formed a perfect union with Tayeh’s intense choreography for the top 10 guys:

On last night’s episode of So You Think You Can Dance, Tayeh gave a remix of Steed Lord’s new single, “Hear Me Now,” a turn in the spotlight:

The original versions of “Precognition” and “Hear Me Now” will appear on Steed Lord’s upcoming album, The Prophecy. With several more weeks of So You Think You Can Dance still to go, might Sonya Tayeh treat us to some more Steed Lord?
