By my count, “Summertimes Sadness” is the seventh track from Lana Del Rey‘s Born To Die to be given the music video treatment. Though the latest entry in the Born Legacy has the vintage verisimilitude of Del Rey’s own stitched-together handiwork, the clip was directed by Kyle Newman (Fanboys) and Spencer Susser (Hesher). Newman’s wife, model/actress Jaime King — currently starring on The CW’s fantastic Hart Of Dixie — plays LDR’s love interest.
Oh, Lana. You’ve gone and broken Lemon Breeland’s poor fragile heart!
Purchase Lana Del Rey – “Summertime Sadness” via iTunes, Amazon MP3 (where the standard edition of Born To Die is currently $3.99).
