While Madonna‘s third single from MDNA, “Turn Up The Radio,” likely won’t click with station programmers (shock, surprise), she still has another hit on her hands.
“Turn Up The Radio” reached #8 on this week’s Billboard Dance/Club Play chart, securing Madonna her 57th top 10 hit and her 28th consecutive such achievement on the tally. “Turn Up The Radio” continues her four-decade domination of the chart. Top that, Elton.
While club DJs have had dibs on the “Turn Up The Radio” remixes for a few weeks, four were released to iTunes this past Tuesday, with Offer Nissim, Martin Solveig, R3hab, and Laidback Luke all dialed up for duty. Nissim delivers big-room euphoria, though I’m not convinced it’s the best match for “Turn Up The Radio,” while Solveig’s re-do is the weakest of the quartet (surprising, since he produced the original track). I’m completely shocked that I like Laidback Luke’s remix as much as I do, considering Far East Movement are along for the ride, and while I don’t typically like R3hab’s work, the raved-up Surrender Remix is my pick of the pack.
