In July, Wynter Gordon debuted Doleo, a self-released EP that saw the singer-songwriter exploring musical textures outside of the dance-pop genre with which she is associated. Today, Gordon premiered a pair of songs from Sanguine, the second chapter of her four-part The Human Condition series, executive produced by DJ Camper (Elle Varner, Trey Songz).
Lead single, “Tomorrow,” is a levitating midtempo number that features rapper Salomon Faye, while “TKO,” a collaboration with self-described ‘Klasher Music’ duo The Oxymorrons, is an aggressive banger. Originally tipped by Gordon as the first single from Sanguine, now “TKO” has been designated as a bonus track on the EP.
The Sanguine EP is scheduled for release on October 15.
While doing the DIY thing, Gordon’s still been keeping one foot in the dance world, albeit more ravey that I would like. This year, she’s contributed vocals to club tracks by Laidback Luke, Robbie Rivera, and Steve Aoki. Gordon’s latest collaboration, Deniz Koyu’s “Follow You,” received a U.S. release yesterday.
