Lane 8’s other productions are worth a listen too, and not only because he points to Pet Shop Boys as a “huge influence” on his sound (though that alone is a pretty great reason). His debut single, “Don’t Want You Back,” is even tagged as ‘Neil Tennant’ on SoundCloud, while Lane 8’s latest, “Dusty,” is named for the soul singer whose career was revived by the synthpop duo in the ’80s. The track samples Springfield’s classic single, “Son Of A Preacher Man,” as well as Diana Ross’ cover of “I Will Survive.”
