This Much Is ‘True’

Yesterday, producer Dev Hynes tweeted this:

I hoped Hynes’ tweet meant what I thought it might mean, and indeed it’s been confirmed today that we’re getting more new music from Solange before the year is out — a 7-track album (EP?) titled True.

“Losing You,” the fantastic midtempo single she released last month (co-written and produced by Hynes), leads off the set, coming November 27. Her equally fantastic B-side, the Prince-ly “Sleep In The Park,” did not make the cut.

Here’s the tracklisting for True:

01 “Losing You”
02 “Some Things Never Seem To Fucking Work”
03 “Locked In Closets”
04 “Lovers In The Parking Lot”
05 “Don’t Let Me Down”
06 “Look Good With Trouble”
07 “Bad Girls”

As someone who immensely enjoyed the disco bump of Solange’s previous album, 2008’s Sol-Angel And The Hadley St. Dreams, I’m hoping track 7 is her tribute to the late Donna Summer.

Solange – True is out November 27 via Terrible Records.
