Tom Stephan’s Fiercer Fantasea

December 1, 2012 0 Comments

On Azealia BanksFantasea mixtape, released in July, the “212” talent added her rhymes to “Fierce,” a 2011 track from Scottish DJ/producer Drums Of Death featuring New York City underground club legend Franklin Fuentes. Fuentes, who calls himself the founder of the Bitch Traxx Movement and was the voice of such ’90s Sound Factory anthems as “If Madonna Calls” and “Tyler Moore Mary,” defines “fierce” thusly:

“‘FIERCE’-ness is open to individual interpretation but it’s basically the biggest & BEST of everything…”

Now one of the biggest and best DJ/producers in clubland, Tom Stephan (aka Superchumbo), has remixed the Fantasea version of “Fierce.” Stephan takes the track even further underground, working Banks’ interplay with Fuentes into a delicious deep-house frenzy with attitude galore.
