Betty Who Loves Somebody (You!)

December 3, 2012 2 Comments

If the world does come to an end later this month, Betty Who is going out with a bang.

The Boston-via-Sydney electropop artist has released her new single, “Somebody Loves You,” first teased for early 2020, ahead of schedule. Produced by Peter Thomas (Neon Hitch, Hoodie Allen) and mastered by Greg Calbi (Foster the People, Passion Pit), the follow-up to the blazing “Fire With Fire” wraps Betty Who’s warm and fuzzy sentiments around a towering, can’t-miss chorus (she stands 6-foot-2, remember) and some MGMT-ish underpinnings.

“‘Somebody Loves You’ was written with your best dance moves in mind. Twerk away,” Betty Who tells Popservations.

You heard the lady, dance until the world doesn’t end on December 21. The Mayans didn’t predict the arrival of “Somebody Loves You,” so let’s dispense with all of this ‘impending doom’ business. We’ll last past 2012 because Betty Who is just getting started.
