What sounds like the setup to a joke is nearly all we know about Kate Boy. It’s been a month since the new electropop band dazzled with their debut track, “Northern Lights,” but amazingly they’ve kept their biography shrouded in mystery while soaking up accolades here, there, and everywhere (and racking up nearly 145,000 views of the song’s video on YouTube).

Now Kate Boy have unwrapped a new song, “In Your Eyes,” and a few more details have emerged, though still none about the band directly. Signed to IAMSOUND, Kate Boy will release their debut EP, Northern Lights, featuring both tracks (and presumably others?) on January 22.

“In Your Eyes” isn’t an immediate grabber like “Northern Lights,” but stick with it. As the track builds in intensity, the ultimate effect is wonderfully hypnotic.
