You won’t find “Don’t Give Me Your Love,” a track from Rush Midnight, the solo project of former Twin Shadow bassist Russ Manning, on last fall’s +1 EP. Instead this smoldering slab of dub-inflected soul is set for inclusion on Rush Midnight’s debut album, which won’t appear until next winter.
Offering a seductive blend of Sade and Sinead O’Connor (check the guitar), that’s a long time to wait to put your hands on something this tantalizing. Manning might prefer that we don’t give him our love, but he’s making it hard to ignore his advances.
UPDATE 4/16: Rush Midnight – “Don’t Give Me Your Love” is now available via iTunes, Amazon MP3.
