It’s been said that life is like high school all over again (said first by whom, who knows for sure). So what about Hollywood’s take on the high school experience? Is the movie version of our four-year tour also a microcosm of the real world?
Slate seems to think it so, recently posting a wicked mash-up of the film Election as viewed through the lens of current Democratic presidential contenders Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. The 1999 dark comedy, directed by Alexander Payne, is about a senior-year race for student council president, starring Reese Witherspoon.
