On Steed Lord‘s current album, The Prophecy Pt. 1, “Ghost Of Sky” is constructed like a classic late ’80s pop/R&B ballad, a song of such dramatic yearning that the likes of Exposé might have sung (though maybe not with the werewolf cries).
But now Steed Lord has taken a second pass at “Ghost Of Sky,” subtracting those references and remixing the track as a deep house number (though it still wouldn’t be out of place in 1989). Juxtaposing Kali’s original vocal with a pitched-down version at the same tempo, Steed Lord has delivered quite the sexy duet. There’s no resisting getting down to this.
