Jessie Ware Lets Her Hair Down

On April 16, nascent British soulster Jessie Ware will issue her debut album, Devotion, in the U.S., available abroad since last August. Following the release of her If You’re Never Gonna Move EP, the already stellar Devotion has been expanded for these shores with two new tracks, a remix of “Wildest Moments” featuring A$AP Rocky (hear here) and new single, “Imagine It Was Us.”

Produced by Julio Bashmore, “Imagine It Was Us” reveals a previously unheard side of Ware: Disco Goddess. Propelled by a early ’90s house groove that will persuade even the stubbornest of feet to move, the music video for “Imagine It Was Us” captures Ware doing the same on camera for the first time.

Directed by her visual collaborator Kate Moross, a bun-free Ware lets loose with a coterie of costumed club kids, serving and werking under the mirrorball.

Early adopters should note that Ware’s debut is being re-released in the UK as Devotion – The Gold Edition, accompanied by  a bonus disc featuring the two aforementioned tracks plus “Valentine” (a collaboration with SBTRKT associate, Sampha) and “Running” (Disclosure Remix).
