Technically Hank & Cupcakes‘ “Ain’t No Love” isn’t fresh out of the oven. The song serves as the title track to an EP the Brooklyn-via-Tel Aviv dance-rock duo released last October.

But it was just last month that Hank & Cupcakes brought forth a video for the storming, electric number. In the clip directed by Drew Norton, the married mates rock out to “Ain’t No Love” while separated by a tissue paper-thin scrim, offering a wild performance that lives up to the recording. Cupcakes’ rap section reminds me of Debbie Harry doing the same on “Rapture.”

Hank & Cupcakes also wrapped up a remix contest for “Ain’t No Love,” declaring Finland’s Tom Goofy the winner. His remix will reportedly appear on the band’s full-length album due later this year.
