Bim covers Chris de Burgh

ChrisDeBurghTheLadyInRedBim‘s cover of Chris de Burgh’s “The Lady In Red” isn’t terribly recent, dating back to February. The British electropop duo shared their recording of the classic 1986 love song in time for Valentine’s Day.

Though Bim tagged their version of “The Lady In Red” as “cheese” on SoundCloud, there’s no shame in tackling a transatlantic hit (#1 UK, #3 US). Transforming the atmospheric ballad into a duet with light trop-pop percussion, Tim Davis and Rebecca Rosier’s modern makeover serves de Burgh’s “Lady” well.

Bim’s cover of “The Lady In Red” received a warm welcome upon its arrival earlier this year, securing airplay on the BBC and MTV in the UK. Even better, de Burgh offered his tactic stamp of approval, retweeting news of the cover to his followers.
