Tube Tied

Magic Wanda

I’ve always been a Letterman fan, avoiding Leno at all costs (ensuring a TiVo blackout via my three-thumbs down rating). But that’s why the Interweb is so wonderful; on the rare occasion that something interesting does happen on The Tonight Show, a clip will wind its way through the series of tubes soon enough.

On Tuesday, comedian Wanda Sykes was in the guest chair, offering her take on the presidential campaign. Her assessment of the Democratic and Republican conventions is spot-on, and Sykes has some choice words for those who don’t vote. But when Lam-O says she must beaming with pride that a woman, Gov. Sarah Palin, is on the Republican ticket, Sykes hits it out of the park with a deft reference to Epcot, the Disney theme park. Watch here.
