It’s very likely you’re on the iTunes email list, but in the event that the hustle and bustle of the holiday season has left you with little time to sort through an unmanageably full in-box (I may be projecting here), consider this my public-service announcement: The kind folks in Cupertino, CA, have a pretty great Christmas gift waiting for you.
The pickings for “O Christmas Free 2009” have been admittedly slim, so the iTunes Holiday Sampler arrives in the nick of time. This totally free 20-track set wraps up songs from a wide range of artists, including Aretha Franklin, David Archuleta, Sarah McLachlan, Weezer, Rascal Flatts, Lady Antebellum, and the Vince Guaraldi Trio. Glasvegas makes a left-field appearance, with Stephen Colbert on the right, also along for the free sleigh ride.
Is the whole set a bundle of joy? Well, that all depends on your personal tastes (ahem, Toby Keith), but with 20 tracks, I think you’ll be happy to add a handful to your digital Christmas collection–but hurry, ’cause the free iTunes Holiday Sampler is only available through December 17.
Download the iTunes Holiday Sampler via, surprise!, iTunes.
And for a double dose of cheer from David Archuleta, add “Joy To The World,” the free iTunes Single of the Week, to your cart.
