Now I don’t watch HBO’s Big Love, but the sheer creative genius/novelty of the show’s free holiday album, released to promote the show’s upcoming fourth season, rates a post here.

Sure, with songs like “Silent Wife” and “Deck The Compound,” A Juniper Creek Christmas isn’t necessarily something the average family would or should put on the stereo while trimming the tree, but the eight-song album is definitely good for a laugh or three.

Big Love cast members Harry Dean Stanton, Mary Kay Place, Mireille Enos, and Cassi Thomson lent their voices to the project (the late Prophet and his three wives, as the show’s fans will note). The actors also filmed a music video to accompany “Here We Come From Juniper Creek,” set to the tune of “Here We Come A-Caroling,” which only gets creepier when the kids come in. Hear here:
