I’m gonna keep this one short and get right to the point. I caught the video for “Junebug” by Robert Francis earlier today and I’m hooked. Reminds me a little of what Ryan Adams did with his Love Is Hell EPs a few years ago, melding American alt-country with a love for The Smiths.

I missed out when “Junebug” was picked as an iTunes Single of the Week back in October, but anyone who smartly snagged Francis’ tune for free would surely pay a buck plus change to spin it again. Only 22 years old, this L.A.-based singer-songwriter is one to watch. Hear here:
