One of the catchiest tunes to hit the streets in recent memory is “Barbra Streisand” by Duck Sauce, the latest musical collaboration between New York DJs Armand Van Helden and A-Trak. It’s also one of the most out-there, with the 68-year-old diva’s name serving as one of the vocal hooks for this disco-house stomper.
After premiering at the Winter Music Conference in Miami in March, “Barbra Streisand” got an official release today. The single’s Guilty-inspired cover art, seen at right, is pure genius.
Using their industry connections, Armand and A-Trak snagged an all-star cast for the “Barbra Streisand” music video. You can’t miss an expressionless Kanye West (with whom A-Trak has toured and recorded), reclining in a resplendent rococo chair, but Chromeo, Diplo, Santigold, ?uestlove, Pharrell Williams, and Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig also contribute cameos.
