In other news, Britney Spears has premiered her new apocalyptic music video for “Till The World Ends.” The first of two, actually. A second “choreography cut” will keep the camera trained on Britney’s dance moves, with less time spent on exterior scenes of the world being brought to its knees.

After her listless “live” performances of late, I’m happy to say that in “Till The World Ends” clip, Britney’s energy is way up. Her dancing is sharper. She looks smashing in a tight red outfit. She’s even smiling. Several times. Hold up — she’s knows the world’s crashing down outside, right? Why is she smiling so much?!

Maybe all the mirth was some sort of prophecy. With Femme Fatale debuting at #1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart (selling 276,000 copies), Britney’s earned her sixth such placement.
