Jordan Knight’s ‘Higher’ calling

New Kids On The Block’s Jordan Knight isn’t exactly sitting idle at the moment. The ’80s boyband will set sail for its third annual fan cruise next month, plus they’re gearing up for a co-headlining tour with Backstreet Boys this summer. Calling themselves NKOTBSB, they’ve got a new single out (“Don’t Turn Out The Lights”), a combined greatest-hits disc on the way (featuring a second new song and a mashup), and an appearance on Dancing With The Stars lined up for next week. Yet with all of the NKOTB to-dos already on his list, Knight’s concurrently kickstarting his solo career.

His fourth solo album, Unfinished, is set for release on May 31. First single, “Let’s Go Higher” arrived at the start of March, and today my fave NKOTB-er unveiled the song’s music video. Mr. Knight is still looking mighty fine, even if I’m a little weirded out that he’s oddly looking just below the camera in several shots. Why so shy, Jordan?

Other than some quick cuts of choreography, which I wish there was more of, “Let’s Go Higher” is a mostly by-the-numbers club clip. Setting it apart? Said club does flood by video’s end. Let’s hope this isn’t a harbinger of NKOTB’s time aboard the Carnival Destiny. Please don’t go, girl!
