The music video’s been out for a month, and the song premiered online previous to that, but today we can finally get our hands on “Bounce,” a new track from Scottish singer-songwriter/producer/DJ Calvin Harris‘ featuring Kelis on vocals. Some say that “Bounce” is bound to be the club hit of the summer.
I can get down with that prediction, especially since Kelis’ Flesh Tone album was an essential part of my soundtrack for Summer 2010, so it’s great to hear her return on something new as the season heats up. The two artists have crossed paths before, with Harris remixing her “4th of July (Fireworks)” single. He also contributed some vocals to his mix, though now Harris says he’s done with singing.
As long as Harris calls up collaborators of Kelis’ caliber and continues churning out choons as good as “Bounce,” it’s a thumbs-up move. Hands to the sky, and throw your hands back:
