It’s rare that a mashup, however good, gets an official release, but that’s exactly what’s happened with a remix of Darren Hayes new single, “Talk Talk Talk.”
The original “Talk Talk Talk,” taken from his forthcoming album, Secret Codes And Battleships, stands on its own as a catchy piece of pop. “Incredibly infectious,” as Hayes himself accurately describes it. But taking the new tune, about a last-ditch effort to bridge love’s divide, and having it ride the instrumental version of Hall and Oates’ 1984 #1 single, “Out Of Touch,” a song that also tackles relationship woes, is an inspired match.
Kudos to Hayes for getting all the legalities involved with “Out Of Talk” cleared for its release. Hear here:
