Anastacia covers Foo Fighters

On It’s A Man’s World, her first studio album in four years, Anastacia lays her powerful pipes upon some iconic male rockers’ signature songs.

Reuniting with producer Glen Ballard (2004’s Anastacia), the Chicago-born singer reaches back to classics like The Rolling Stones’ “You Can Always Get What You Want” and Aerosmith’s “Dream On,” though It’s A Man World is heavier on hits minted in the modern rock era, like Oasis’ “Wonderwall” and Kings Of Leon’s “Use Somebody.”

Another tune taken from more recent memory, Foo Fighters’ “Best Of You,” serves as the first single from It’s A Man’s World. Pouring her heart and soul into this powerful rendition, Anastacia proves she packs the interpretive talents to not only play with the big boys, but perhaps teach them a thing or two as only a woman can.

Here’s the tracklisting for It’s A Man’s World:

01 “Ramble On” (Led Zeppelin)
02 “Best Of You” (Foo Fighters)
03 “Sweet Child O’ Mine” (Guns N’ Roses)
04 You Can’t Always Get What You Want (The Rolling Stones)
05 “One” (U2)
06 “Back In Black (AC/DC)
07 “Dream On (Aerosmith)
08 “Use Somebody (Kings Of Leon)
09 “You Give Love A Bad Name” (Bon Jovi)
10 “Wonderwall” (Oasis)
11 “Black Hole Sun” (Soundgarden) [iTunes bonus track]

Next up for Anastacia is an album of all-original material, likely due next year.
