Stopping by the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge studios a few months ahead of her UK tour, yesterday Kelly Clarkson performed an acoustic cover of Coldplay’s new Rihanna-featuring single, “Princess Of China.”
The newly gone blonde singer can’t help but bring out some deeper shades of soul in the song, even when singing the many la-la-las. Next time Chris Martin dreams of dueting with an outside collaborator, he’d be wise to crown Clarkson his pop princess instead:
