Following The Soundmen‘s fantastic ’90s R&B-infused remix of Betty Who’s “You’re In Love” earlier this month, the New York/Seattle duo has returned with the second edition of their “Big Beach” series of remixes.
The Soundmen have now worked their magic on Blondfire’s “Waves,” outfitting the Driscoll siblings’ latest single with a swaying, tribal sound. “We wanted to give this track a hard hitting vibe that could easily soundtrack a boat trip to Indonesia or a deep jungle trek to an isolated break,” says The Soundmen’s Scott Durday.
These “Waves” don’t exactly portend calm waters ahead, but the motion sensitive have no reason to hesitate pressing play.
