Suffer from a lack of sleep long enough, and your vision’s bound to go a bit wonky. And so it is with the new music video for Dum Dum Girls‘ “Bedroom Eyes,” a song borne out of frontwoman Dee Dee’s frustrating bout with insomnia. (Sample lyric: “I fear I’ll never sleep again.”)
Directed by Sam Macon, the female foursome perform in front of a simple cream-colored backdrop, with the clip going kaleidoscopic in the chorus. Dizzy up the girls:
“Bedroom Eyes” is taken from Dum Dum Girls’ sophomore album, Only In Dreams, out today. The first release to feature the rest of Dee Dee’s bandmates (Jules, Bambi, and Sandy), Only In Dreams was produced by Richard Gotteherer (The Go-Go’s, Blondie) and Sune Rose Wagner (The Raveonettes), and is just as fantastic as that combination suggests.
