Remember those three free tracks Frankmusik treated us to? Well, yesterday the singer-producer broke his somewhat cryptic silence to post a lengthy note on Facebook, leading with the news that a 4-track EP, Long Live Frankmusik, was now available for free download.
Now in one fell swoop you can snag previous freebies “Hurt You Again,” “Warrior,” and “Our Discovery (Tribute to Daft Punk),” plus a fourth cut, the clubtastic “Hate Your Love.” Credited to DIGIRAATII feat. Frankmusik, the zooming tune has a definite Justin Timberlake vibe, and wrapping the EP with it serves as the perfect promotional cliffhanger. Now I’m super-excited to hear what’s next, like the sequel to Long Live Frankmusik, which he promises will arrive at February’s end.
So what’s the status of Do It In The AM, Frankmusik’s proper follow-up to Complete Me? He says the album is coming along nicely and will be out soon. “I have collaborated with several brilliant people on this project via my label, Cherrytree Records, and am finally ready to release it! It is very exciting and get ready to have your minds blown. Both new and old Frankmusik fans, I know you will all enjoy it.” (Hopefully, some new promo photos are part of the forthcoming package.)
Tonight, Frankmusik makes his U.S. television debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live! with Cherrytree labelmates Far East Movement. He’ll be singing the hook on the electro hip-hop group’s latest single, “Rocketeer.” Get your DVRs ready.
