Well, the buzz has been inescapable, and at times, insufferable, but it’s all been leading up to today. The Sex And The City movie opens in theaters, and I’m really looking forward to seeing what the quartet gets up to on the silver screen.
So in honor of the occasion, I figured it was appropriate to feature the song that closed out SATC‘s original television run in 2004. “You Got The Love” by The Source featuring Candi Staton wrapped up the series beautifully, a 1991 testament to getting by with a little help from our friends (or a higher power, if you prefer):
Another version of the video is more overtly religious. If you need to be reminded of the genius of the closing Sex and The City scenes, here’s that, too.
Purchase Candi Staton – “You Got The Love” via Amazon, iTunes.
