While the pop star was applauded for the positive message, she did court some controversy by covering up with the Stars and Stripes. The real outrage should have been the too-short jorts on her backup dancers:
A second spot that Madonna filmed for MTV was also aimed at getting voters to the polls. This one’s an extended riff, and riddled with continuity errors (check the changing hair). Tweaking MTV with a C-SPAN comparison is Classic Madonna, biting the hand that famously fed her well:
