Kylie Minogue popped up on TV last night, finally supporting her album Aphrodite with some proper U.S. promotion by performing her new single, “Get Outta My Way,” on (the otherwise unwatchable) America’s Got Talent. As I remarked out loud upon seeing two male dancers march out on stage, “America’s Got Talent just got a whole lot gayer.”

Kudos to Kylie for giving it to us live and doing a bang-up job at that, though she left the start of the first chorus to the backing tape (the mix was off, so a real backup singer or two would have been nice). But bonus points for asking the audience who’d likely never heard the song before, “You gonna sing it with me?” The girl’s got gumption. And viewers tuned to NBC yesterday saw that this Aussie import’s got loads of talent, while America’s got some useful chairs:
