For those who thought that Target had gifted all the indie Christmas tunes you need for this year’s celebration, Beach House has placed its musical gift under the tree.

The sentiment of “I Do Not Care For Winter Sun” might not be a surprise considering the Baltimore duo’s summer-conjuring name; the arrival of frigid temps and wintry elements renders such property practically useless. Still, the Beach House sound that’s won Victoria Legrand and Alex Scally so much acclaim this year (thanks to their Sub Pop debut, Teen Dream) remains intact.

Yes, Beach House may look down upon the “darkness that comes so quick” during winter, but by thoughtfully adding the gentle jangle of some sleigh bells, their dreamy rumination on this often dreary time of year isn’t such a drag. Hear here:
