“Blessed” by Tom Hangs & Shermanology isn’t a new track by any stretch of the imagination. Released a year ago, it was prominently featured on Tiësto’s Club Life Vol. 1 Las Vegas compilation.

But “Blessed” has been getting renewed attention (and much airplay on Sirius XM’s BPM) as word spreads that Tom Hangs and Avicii are one and the same. In the past 12 months, the Swedish DJ/producer’s profile has only grown in the EDM world, with “Blessed” rising right along with it as audiences discover his sound.

The spiritual theme of “Blessed” might come be a surprising pick, but as I’ve previously testified, match a great beat to a big-voiced diva (or two) praising the man upstairs for seeing her through, and I’ll follow her right along to church, waving my hands in the air. Or as Madonna sang on her underrated (and criminally overlooked) 2003 single, “Nothing Fails,” “I’m not religious, but I feel so moved.”
