This might be shocking to some, but Ciara’s “Body Party” was a non-starter for me. While the single reached #8 on the Billboard R&B chart, “Body Party” peaked at #35 on the Hot 100, a decent indication that I’m not alone in my desire for something more danceable from Ciara (see “1, 2 Step” and “Love Sex Magic”).
Thankfully, Dave Audé has stepped in get this “Body Party” started. Not only has he bumped up the BPM, Audé has delivered a remix that harkens back to classic house music, incorporating a prominent bass line inspired by Inner City’s “Good Life.”
Audé’s helping Ciara rise to the occasion over on the Billboard Dance chart, where “Body Party” is at #14 this week.
