‘Death’ becomes her

A matchup with Freemasons made me a “Believer” in Wynter Gordon, and now the Queens, New York native’s back with the follow-up to her #1 Billboard dance hit, “Dirty Talk,” poised to tear up the dancefloor once more with “Til Death.”

The second single from Gordon’s yet-to-be-released album, With The Music I Die, “Til Death” features a lyric that gives the forthcoming set its name. With a great dance-pop sound, the song could help the singer-songwriter crack the Top 40 for the first time. A music video for “Til Death” premiered this week on Logo, which had nominated Gordon in the Brink Of Fame: Music category for its 2011 NewNowNext Awards (Oh Land took the prize).

Though the single version of “Til Death” is arguably club-ready as is, of the mixes that have been commercially released, the revamp from WaWa gets the shiny gold disco star. I think Gordon’s got a second #1 on her hands.

While Gordon’s still getting her singing career off the ground in the U.S. (she’s already won over Australia), she’s been writing for other artists too. Three tunes she co-wrote made the cut of Jennifer Lopez’s latest album, Love?, including “(What Is) Love?,” “Starting Over,” and “Everybody’s Girl.”
