On a summer’s day, there’s really nothing quite like climbing into a car that’s been parked in the heat while you’ve been away in air-conditioned comfort. No, not the touching-the-seatbelts-will-burn-your-fingers kind of heat, but just hot enough for the drastic shift in temperature to feel like being cocooned in a warm blanket. Paradoxical, and briefly so, since you’re quickly reaching for the AC controls to cool things down.
A similarly soothing feeling is conjured up by Cordova’s “Paradigm,” a track concocted by Los Angeles-via-Vancouver DJ/producer U-Tern (aka Vaughn Oliver) and his friends AJK and Roxy (of Love and Electrik). For reasons unknown, the trio never got around to giving “Paradigm” a proper release, but now U-Tern has posted it as a free download.
While the gorgeous “Paradigm” may have been designed for dancing, it’s even more rewarding to press play, sit back, and luxuriate in the tune’s total lushness. Hear here:
Teaming with production partner Oligee (aka Oliver Goldstein) as OLIVER, U-Tern has remixed songs by Penguin Prison, Chromeo, and Don Diablo feat. Dragonette, as well as Britney Spears’ latest single, “I Wanna Go”.
