The Knocks opening for Dragonette offered the biggest bang for one’s pop buck in recent memory, and I was certainly rewarded on Wednesday night in San Francisco. Less a concert than a full-on dance party — aided by the club space in which it was held, and The Knocks working tracks from Stardust and Major Lazer into their set — the extra energy helped considerably since the festivities didn’t get underway until 10:15 pm.
I could have done with less pogoing, however, and more awareness of personal space from my fellow pop music enthusiasts. Note for next time: I should probably start planting myself along the periphery and not in the thick of things.
Since The Knocks bid adieu to Dragonette last night in Seattle, I’ve posted some recent remixes from both below, three of which debuted this past week. Consider the collection a no-cost souvenir of 2012’s most inspired live pairing.
The Knocks – “The Feeling” (The FatRat Remix)
Dragonette – “Live In This City” (Silcox & Nash Remix)
Haim – “Forever” (The Knocks Remix)
